Daphne was born in 2005 and weighs about 10 lbs. She is a tiny thing who's world revolves around snuggling. She'll snuggle with other dogs, kids, or adults. She's not particular with who or where she snuggles. She is with us because her owner has died. One negative is that if she is in a situation where she is frightened she may submissive urinate. So, the best thing we can do for this girl is to place her where she will never feel frightened again. Each Joyful Rescues pet has been thrown away at least once. Pets are not disposable because your life has changed. Before you decide to bring a pet into your home, make absolutely sure that it will be a life time commitment. When our pets leave us we want them to go to their forever homes. Joyful Rescues has no funding except for our adoption fees and miscellaneous donations. The fees for our puppies/dogs run $200-$350 and can be more for an extremely adoptable dog. For a senior or high maintenance dog (behavioral/medical issues) the fee will be more negotiable. In general our fees include spay/neuter, all age appropriate vaccines, Home Again micro-chipping & registration, a 4.5# bag of Science Diet food, worming & flea control - a "complete" pet. Pet care and vet bills are expensive - you must be ready to take on this financial (as well as emotional) responsibility. By adopting a pet you are not only helping the pet you adopt but also others in or needing to come into rescue.
